 Some of it very interesting, other to many details and examplres. Hard to track who is who.
I found a lot of it boring. Enjoyed beggining and ending of book and Obama's time in Africa.

This book has shed much light on the upbringing and life of President elect Barack Obama. Very interesting to read, and enjoy how he survived many obstacles and tragedies throughout his life. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted background information concerning Barack Obama.
Finally, a President with international understanding
Very well written and so wise and introspective for someone who was only in his 30s at the time. My favorite part is when he visits Kenya and meets people living in poverty. Like people he has met living in poverty in Indonesia, Hawaii, New York or Chicago, some have a hopeful look and some have a desperate look. Obama looks for similarities between people in similar conditions regardless of where they live. We are so lucky to have a President who sees desperation as a result of poverty, not its cause.

After listening to Barack Obamas' speeches I expected the book to be interesting. It was! It made understanding Obama's youth a key to the man he has become.A man who can understand the struggles, and joys of the little guy.A man who will do his best to carry out his determination to make the changes our country desperatly needs.

This is a amazing journey, the true American journey. This is a great book, you will enjoy! It's a story of a boy coming into his own, with the twist and turn that life gives for you. You become educated, to just accept all people from all walks of life and corners of the world. Young men need to read this story it's motivational, emotional and comforting.Dreams from My Father
