 Rating 5   great
This was recommended by a friend. I have not read it yet. I plan to read it my boys group at church and then watch the movie.

Rating 5   Through Gates of Splendor (book)
Thank you for sending this to me again. It offers me the opportunity to change my original assessment. I sent this book to my sister and did not hear rather she had gotten it or not. Therefore, I could not in good conscience give a good recommendation on behalf of the sender.

However, since then, I found out and I am glad to announce that the sender did send the book to my sister in Washington State and she received it. The sender was so put out with me that she wrote me numerous letters complaining about my giving her a bad recommendation and finally refunded the money which I did not ask for and thought was rather infantile and immature. I did not give her a bad recommendation originally but simply stated that I could not give a good recommendation based upon the lack of information. To do so would have been to lie and I cannot abide a liar.

So, that is where the thing lie. I don't know how to see that the lady can get her money since it has been refunded.

Regards, Nickie

Through Gates of Splendor
End of The Spear and Beyond the Gates of Splendor are an important part of my small DVD collection. Somehow these movies have made the missionaries more than lifesize. This book helped me to see them as real people with flaws and concerns that made me think that even I could make a difference. Good reading.

 Rating 5   A Must Read!
I read this book, probably 24 years ago, so this one, I purchased for a friend, but this book had a radical impact upon my life and I'm forever grateful for the life and ministry of Elizabeth Elliot. Dian
