 interesting history
I bought this book for my wife due to her Italian heritage and relatives in Pueblo, Colorado. Very interesting tome, and only someone from Pueblo would suspect the depth of Sicilian culture there. The book was brand new, perfect condition, and delivered promptly.

I grew up in Pueblo and felt that the authors were mostly doing a outline of events that happened. I never really found a story here, just facts put into a book.
Their is so much more to tell, how they controlled the employment lines at the mill, keept workers at the meat plants and even helped farmers with selling their produce and beef. money was to be made in Pueblo and most of it wasn't done with a gun.
They missed the opportunity to present a historical account in story telling form.
Mountain Mafia
This book is a must read for an Italian from Colorado - most specifically Pueblo or southern Colorado if you have any interest in organized crime. You will recognize names and locations and it will take some of the mystery out of all those stories you heard growing up. The writers obviously had access to records and history that validated these most unwholesome activities that existed in the last 50-70 years.
